Ofri Cnaani’s work employs performance and video. Based on where we stand in one of Ofri’s installations, we experience a different fragment of a more complete narrative. Ofri forces us to confront feelings of separateness, fragmentation and isolation while honoring our individual perspectives.

In this visit to the American artist Kit Reisch’s studio in Prague, Czech Republic, Reisch describes the profound effect culture has on an artist’s work, particularly how the lack of personal significance or connection to a place facilitates the psychological freedom that allows for extraordinary experimentation.
